Laura Lombardi

MAKER: Laura Lomabrdi
CREATION: Jewellery
THINKING: Sustainable & Community Based Manufacturing
LOCATION: NYC

Laura Lombardi is an eponymous jewellery line made and designed in New York. Laura started making jewellery while studying fine arts, initially making each piece herself. The brand has now evolved and is centred around sustainability, and community based manufacturing.

Laura derives inspiration from her experiences growing up between both New York City and Italy. Her work distils these cultures and environments into a singular aesthetic: A raw industrial style balanced with elements of classical art and design. Each piece is distinctive yet versatile, and deigned to be worn with confidence.

"I had always focused in sculpture and mixed media in my art practice; jewellery initially was a way for me to scale down and create something personal for myself," explained the designer. "Now what I love about it is creating these little narratives: telling stories with my collections and seeing how people relate to each piece, and how it fits in to their lives." Source Elle
